11 Riverbed Effect
Every word selection steers up a static “riverbed” of words. The selected word however pushes the surrounding words away, thus creating free space that in its centre has a new catchword. One after the other the content-related words are being steered up the same way.
Result: The flow of information in this image is depicted statically as long as there is no interaction involved. Only word selection leads to effective movement of the riverbed. The dynamic process of pushing aside the other words directs the observer’s glance at the word clusters, which slowly constitute themselves.
